Boeing Academy for STEM Learning

Boeing Academy for STEM Learning

The Inspiration Begins Here! campaign will use the Raisbeck Aviation High School as a lighthouse model to pioneer a collaboration between the Museum of Flight and the Highline Public School district, an example that can be replicated all over the world. The Museum will provide courses in STEM fields that aren’t offered in most schools – like space physics, archive research methods and aviation marketing – for high school and college credit. By offering opportunities for students to explore their passions, Inspiration Begins Here! is preparing graduates for futures in STEM careers.

The Boeing Academy for STEM Learning was launched in July 2015, made possible by a joint $30 million investment from The Boeing Company and Bill and June Boeing. The Boeing Academy will help The Museum of Flight reach its ambitious campaign goals, including doubling the number of students who are served by our education programs, inspiring more learners who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM career fields, and becoming the preferred provider of professional development for STEM educators all over the world.
