Women in STEM

Women in STEM

The Museum of Flight’s Inspiration Begins Here! campaign will expand educational programs and events for girls of all ages who are interested in science, technology, engineering and math. These hands-on experiences feature female aerospace professionals to show girls they can succeed in STEM careers.

WomenFly! is an annual workshop series for young women across Washington State who are interested in aviation and aerospace careers. Amelia’s Aero Club (AAC) is a program that uses the legacy of Amelia Earhart and professional women mentors to excite and embolden young girls to engage in science, technology, engineering, aviation, art and math (STEA²M).

In addition to Amelia’s Aero Club, Inspiration Begins Here! has launched several other student programs and scholarships that target demographics that are underrepresented in STEM fields. The Museum of Flight wants to encourage all students – regardless of gender, race, or family income – to reach for the stars!
